A 0.54 carat round emerald, set within a halo of 0.07 carat of diamonds, in 18K white gold.
We build this emerald in two metals, and the pair is worth seeing together because the choice changes the stone rather than the ring.
White gold is the neutral frame. It adds nothing of its own to the green, so what you see is the emerald’s actual hue — whether it leans blue-green or yellow-green, whether the saturation holds evenly across the table. That honesty runs both ways: a cool colourless surround also gives the eye a clean reference against which the stone’s jardin, the internal fissures every emerald carries, is a little more legible than it would be in warm metal.
That is not a drawback so much as a statement of what you are buying. An emerald’s inclusions are part of its identity, accepted by the trade in a way no diamond’s would be; a white setting simply declines to hide them.
Standard emerald care applies: beryl at 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, almost universally oiled or resin-filled, and never to be cleaned ultrasonically.
The same stone in warm metal: 0.54 ct emerald halo in yellow gold.
