4.53 ct Black Diamond Tennis Bracelet

Natural black diamonds, 4.53 carats in total, run the full 18 cm of this bracelet in 18K white gold.

Black diamonds behave nothing like colourless ones. They are opaque: light does not enter the stone, travel around the pavilion and return as fire — it reflects off the surface instead. The result is a hard, graphic gloss, closer to polished onyx than to a conventional tennis bracelet, and far more legible from across a room.

You will notice these stones carry no clarity grade. That is not an omission. Black diamonds are black because they are saturated with graphite inclusions; grading clarity on them would be meaningless, since the inclusions are the colour. Ours are natural, not colour-treated.

The gold is finished in black rhodium. Bright white metal would draw a lit outline around every stone and break the row into segments; blackened, the settings recede and the diamonds read as one continuous band.
