All our diamonds and precious stones are carefully selected to meet high quality standards and set by the best local craftsmen. The settings are made in Italy by master goldsmiths.

Our rings are available in pure platinum (950), 18k white gold, 18k rose gold, and 18k yellow gold.

Platinum is resistant to corrosion and tarnishing, can tolerate extreme temperatures and time, and even improves the cold brilliance of the gemstone.

18k gold is a great choice for engagement rings and wedding bands since it is made up of 75% pure gold blended with other metals to increase hardness and strength.

Do you ship worldwide?

We offer free shipping throughout Europe and ship worldwide with a flat rate of €120.

Where are your gemstones coming from?

We ensure that every diamond and gemstone we use is of natural origin and ethically sourced.

Our ethical responsibilities led us to have zero tolerance for conflict diamonds, we only use natural conflict-free diamonds that come from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflicts.

Why don’t you make silver jewellery?

While newly polished silver is a lovely, highly shiny metal, it will rapidly tarnish and/or oxidize.

It can react with the acids in our skin, darkening it and leaving a black mark on our skin under the ring.

Description

Low Dome Wedding Ring, 18K White Gold, 3 mm

A plain 18K white gold band, 3.00 mm wide, a gently domed outer face and a flat interior. Made to order in our Antwerp workshop, sizes 46 to 69. From €755, priced by size.

How to choose a width, in millimetres rather than adjectives

Band widths are usually described as “delicate”, “classic” or “substantial”, which tells you nothing you can act on. The useful version is a ladder, and it is short:

  • 1.5–2 mm — a line on the finger. Reads as jewellery rather than a wedding ring, stacks well, and is the usual choice for a second or anniversary band.
  • 3 mm — this ring. The most chosen width in Europe, and the one that looks intentional on almost any hand without announcing itself.
  • 4 mm — visibly a wedding band from across a room. The point at which most men stop and most women start to hesitate.
  • 5 mm and above — a statement, and a different set of practical consequences at the knuckle.

What that ladder hides is that the same width does not read the same on every hand. Width is judged against the finger it sits on, not in absolute terms. On a slim finger — say size 48 — a 3 mm band covers a noticeably larger share of the finger’s face than the same ring does at size 62. If you are choosing for someone with small hands, 3 mm often looks like what a 4 mm looks like on a larger hand.

The practical rule: if you are between two widths, try the narrower one first. Nobody regrets a band that sits quietly; plenty of people stop wearing one that feels like a cuff.

White gold and the plating question

18K white gold is not naturally white: it is a pale alloy finished with a thin layer of rhodium. On a ring worn every day that layer thins first at the base, where the band rubs against the finger, and the warmer alloy beneath begins to show through. Re-plating is quick and inexpensive, but it is a recurring appointment — roughly every few years depending on how you use your hands. It is the one ongoing cost that yellow and rose gold do not have.

Made to order

Plain bands are made for the finger they are going on, so this ring is not held in stock — that is why it shows as backorder. You are ordering a ring to be made. Tell us the date you need it when you order, and if you are unsure of the size we will send a sizing set first.
