Oval diamond drop earrings, 4.12 carats, GIA certified
Drop earrings built from six oval diamonds, arranged so the colour shifts as the eye travels down. Two large warm ovals sit at the base, two colourless D ovals above them, with smaller stones completing the line. Total weight 4.12 carats. They exist as one pair.

What W–X and Y–Z actually mean
Worth being precise, because “yellow diamond” covers two very different things. GIA grades colourless diamonds from D down to Z; below Z, a stone leaves that scale entirely and is graded as a fancy colour. W–X and Y–Z are the final grades of the normal range: warm, sunlit, distinctly tinted, but not fancy yellows.
That distinction is the reason these earrings carry two ovals of a size that would be prohibitive in either a colourless or a fancy grade. At the bottom of the D–Z scale you are paying for carat weight and cut rather than for rarity of colour, and on a drop earring — where the stone hangs clear of the face and catches light from every side — the warmth reads as gold rather than as compromise.
Why the colours are mixed on purpose
The two D ovals are not filler. Placed directly above the warm stones, they give the eye a colourless reference point, and against that reference the warm ovals read richer rather than simply yellowish. Remove the D stones and the whole drop flattens into one tone. It is the same principle behind the 18K white and yellow gold mount: white metal holds the colourless stones cold, yellow metal carries the warmth of the larger ovals, and each part of the earring is set in the metal that suits it.
